Canon Powershot Elph 300 Hs Review: What I didn’t Like About It

by admin on Apr.03, 2012, under Canon

This is canon powershot elph 300 hs reviewanother Canon Powershot Elph 300 Hs review :

I bought this camera in June 2011. The pictures were good, though not as great as I had hoped. They were only somewhat better than those I had taken with a Sony Cybershot purchased in 2003. The HD video, however, was excellent and quickly became a favorite feature.

Unfortunately, the canon powershot elph 300 hs refused to open when I turned it on in September. I sent it back to Canon and they replaced it. I paid shipping. I had a new canon powershot elph 300 hs in a week. The camera they sent me, however, was defective. The shutter would not consistently open all the way or close completely. I needed to send it back again. They paid shipping this time, and replaced it once more. Another week without a camera. In January, I noticed a spot had developed on the lens that showed up on any photo I took with telephoto. Very frustrating. I didn’t address it immediately with Canon, however, having already been frustrated with my experiences with the canon powershot elph 300 hs. Then last week I took the camera to the park–I placed it in my front pants pocket as I’ve always done, and when I took it out, the top of the camera had split open and one of the tabs that held the camera together was sticking out. I sent the camera back to Canon. They considered this damage to the camera and refused to fix it without charging me $140. Now, nine months into this camera, I’m left with virtually nothing–I’m not going to invest anymore money into the camera because of its durability issues. My Sony lasted eight years–the main reason I wanted to upgrade was the advances in technology. I didn’t treat this camera any differently than I treated the Sony. Original story here

what i can tell you about the canon powershot elph 300 hs review is the camera is really good on pictures and videos but fail to provide a good durability sometimes.
